Our two- year program prepares you for a clearly predefined management position in a technical field. As Technical Young Graduate you will be coached during a specifically designed development program spread over different units and locations. We provide your formal training programs but you will take ownership over projects to put theory into practice. You will be able to quickly contribute to our business.

Throughout the program you take up ownership over different techn(olog) ical projects. You look at bottlenecks, make proposals to solve them and help the team during start-ups and small shut downs. You reflect about process improvements towards higher quality standards and more robustness of the processes.

You put theory into practice and develop your knowledge and skills. You follow formal trainings in project management, communication skills, etc.

You connect with different stakeholders at all levels in the organization and build your professional network. You are an active ambassador for Umicore, internally and externally during visits, jobfairs, etc.

You obtain your Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or Material Science with a keen interest in chemical processing and developing technological skills.

You exhibit adaptability and feel at home in a changing environment. Your problem-solving skills help you to tackle obstacles and to come up with fresh ideas.

You are curious and have a strong willingness to learn and develop yourself as human and professional. Your open attitude for feedback help in this growth process.

You have the guts to take on new challenges and explore opportunities to do things differently. You dare to speak up and share own thought and ideas.

You are fluent in Dutch and English.

You will be involved in multiple projects to develop your professional, technical and interpersonal competencies. You get guidance on the job by experienced Umicore employees and a formal training program. After a successful completion of your projects you will kick start your career in a managerial position at Umicore.
