Position: P&ID Coordinator HQ - Visé, Belgium
Location: Town of Belgium

Knauf stands for opportunity. We know that opportunity looks different to each person and we are proud that we see opportunity in everyone. This exciting role within Knauf Insulation could be the perfect next opportunity for you to build a unique career, in a values‑led culture with a clear purpose of making tomorrow a home for all of us.

Knauf Insulation is proud to be part of the Knauf Group, a global manufacturer of construction materials. Our division is approaching 50 years of heritage in manufacturing insulation, with a growing global reach in 40 countries and ambitious goals for the future. We are looking for passionate, ambitious people to join our 6,000‑strong team and help us achieve these goals. We are all led by the same core values and believe in the powerful potential of large companies to have a positive impact on the world.

The expansion of the Engineering Department means we are now looking to recruit a new P&r, to be located in Visé, Belgium reporting to the GMW Technology Manager.

Can you say ‘yes’?...
  • Can you own the full P& across multiple projects—from initial setup to as‑built capture and archiving?
  • Can you coordinate internal teams and external partners, managing standards, technical reviews, and contractual aspects to deliver compliant, on‑time P&IDs?
  • Can you ensure rigorous, complete P& and seamless integration into collaborative platforms, enabling clear communication across piping, E&I, technology, and construction engineering?
  • Can you drive continuous improvement of P&, balancing workload and resources to meet Knauf Insulation’s quality, timing, and efficiency targets?

As the P&r, you would be the end‑to‑end owner of P&IDs, steering every phase for new builds and existing plants, aligning diverse stakeholders, guaranteeing compliance with project/design milestones, and evolving methods and tools—so projects move from concept to as‑built with accuracy, speed, and full traceability.

What you’ll be doing :
  • Take charge of the full lifecycle for all P&IDs on every project.
  • Manage initial setup based on greenfield references or plant surveys.
  • Update P&IDs per recommendations from technology engineers.
  • Ensure complete and thorough content for technical reviews.
  • Maintain full compliance with quality and timing standards throughout the project/design lifecycle.
  • Capture the as‑built picture at project completion.
  • Ensure all steps and related documents are properly integrated into the collaborative platform and archiving system.
  • Implement P&IDs as required and oversee subcontractor involvement.
  • Manage all stakeholders and contractual aspects to achieve lifecycle objectives.
  • Assess project workload and secure appropriate staffing/organization.
  • Own the process to implement P&IDs, continuously improving efficiency.
  • Collaborate with technology engineers to understand production processes and drive innovation.
  • Ensure P& and standards are applied consistently across all engineering offices.
  • Facilitate clear communication between all engineering parties.
What we’d love for you to have:

We are interested in you as a person; your attitude, behaviours and values. As long as you have the willingness to learn anything you need for the role that you don’t already have, we’d love to speak to you. We’re seeking a Master‑level (or equivalently experienced) engineer or designer who comfortably bridges theory and hands‑on practice, leads and trains teams, and is fully proficient with Autodesk Suites and P& (including Smart P&IDs).

You are curious about production processes and eager to advance beyond the current state of the art, highly professional and independent, organized and tenacious, able to manage details without losing the big picture, and driven by a proactive “get it done” mindset.

If you have experience in the following areas – this is an added advantage:

  • Computer literate and fully proficient with Autodesk Suites
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing P&
  • Experience with Smart P&IDs
We will provide:

As this is a central, international position, the package and associated benefits will be those of the contract's host country. Our common criterion was to build a comprehensive salary package that stands out in the market.

On top of that, a dedicated time for personal development and potential for leadership training will be provided.

What happens next?

We appreciate that your time is precious and applying for a new job can be a lengthy process – so we have committed to replying to your application within five working days.

Our commitment to diversity and inclusion (D&I) reinforces Knauf Insulation’s values of Making Tomorrow a Home for all of us. We are committed to creating a workplace where everyone can thrive, irrespective of background, and inspiring a culture of inclusion and innovation that will drive future business success.
