EU Policy Assistant – Part-time position

Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented EU Policy Assistant to support our policy research and advocacy initiatives, especially on topics related to migration, gender, climate and structural racism. The successful candidate will play a vital role in tracking EU policies, assisting in the development of policy recommendations, and supporting communication with stakeholders. This position requires strong organizational skills, an understanding of EU policies, and a commitment to effective policy implementation.

In addition to a competitive salary, possibility to telework 2 times a week, and a compensation package encompassing various fringe benefits, such as meal voucher, transportation and health insurance.

• Monitor and analyze EU policy developments, legislative proposals, and regulatory changes, specifically on migration, gender, climate and structural racism (the EU Anti-Racism Action Plan).
• Prepare concise summaries and briefings on EU policies and related issues.
• Assist in conducting policy research, data collection, and analysis.
• Support the development of policy recommendations and advocacy strategies.
• Collaborate with team members and external stakeholders to ensure effective policy communication.
• Help organize meetings, workshops, and events related to EU policy initiatives.
• Maintain up-to-date records of policy documents and relevant information.

• MA in political science, international relations, EU studies, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in policy analysis or EU affairs.
• Strong understanding of EU institutions, policies, and decision-making processes.
• Proficiency in French is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
