Translation/ Employee Support
Facilitate effective communication between Lakeside Foods and non-English speaking employees by coordinating translation and interpretation services across departments.
Provide oral interpretation for meetings, events, and conferences, and translate confidential documents, forms, policies, and HR materials as needed.
Assist HR Manager in meetings regarding shift changes, promotions, appraisals/pay changes, employee status, direct deposit, leave of absence, attendance, password resets, etc.
Assist in annual HR reviews for translation and interpretation.
Provide communication for employee relations, translation at TAL/employee meetings.
RecruitmentSupport recruitment processes, providing verbal and written translation including posting jobs, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, and onboarding.
Assist managers with staffing requirements during our production season.
Willing to travel annually to support recruitment of migrant employees.
OnboardingConduct new hire orientation and provide proper translation of employee handbook and benefits to new employees with language barriers.
Oversee the orientation and training of our non-bilingual staff
Complete necessary paperwork and administrative duties for benefits.
Maintain I-9 documentation and process E-Verify.
Seasonal Employees (BL only)
Keep a documented open line of communication with the General Manager and Human Resources Manager regarding migrant camp activities, issues, and/or concerns.
Ensure that migrant/seasonal workforce is in compliance with Lakeside Foods, State and Federal regulations.
Facilitate migrant camp activities such as room assignments, janitorial and mechanical assignments, and conflict resolution.
SafetyPromote safety and safety awareness.
Maintain communication and translation for safety training and postings.
Assist in entering and maintaining required recordkeeping.
Administer minor first aid and translate the terminology.
Distribute Personal Protective Equipment, where needed.
General AdministrationMaintain record keeping of all personnel files and their contents & update, as needed.
Assist with various Human Resource functions throughout the day.
Gather, organize, maintain, retrieve and, at times, display Lakeside postings, information materials and various items.
Assist in tracking and entering absent information.
Other DutiesMaintain work area in a clean and orderly manner.
May perform other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Manager.
Adhere to all Lakeside Foods policies and procedures.
Notify Human Resources Manager immediately if any unsafe or potentially hazardous conditions are discovered.
