We are seeking a proactive, dynamic, and experienced Incident Security Specialist to join our Security Services team Lead Security Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing security incidents, coordinating response efforts, and driving improvements across our security posture. Your expertise will help protect our customers, employees, and brokers, especially when handling sensitive issues such as PII breaches and phishing attacks.
In this role, you will guide two colleagues and collaborate with cross‑functional IT and business teams to ensure timely and effective incident management. Success in this position requires a blend of technical acumen, strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a bias for action.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage security incident response efforts
, ensuring thorough assessment, containment, mitigation, and reporting of security threats. - Coordinate with IT, business units, and response stakeholders to ensure efficient incident handling.
- Oversee monitoring, analysis, and triage of security events to identify potential threats swiftly.
- Develop and implement innovative solutions for complex security issues on local and international engagements.
- Detail incident reports and communicate findings clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Support and mentor team members, guiding incident response planning and execution.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and propose realistic solutions.
- Participate actively in purple team exercises to enhance detection and response capabilities.
- Support business development efforts by identifying and leveraging security opportunities.
- Maintain awareness of evolving security threats and industry best practices.
- Lead the security community, driving engagement, and bringing key security awareness topics to the AXA IT organization.
- Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related fields.
- Practical experience in one or more of the following domains:
Security Operations and Monitoring, Digital Forensics, Security Incident Management and Response, Vulnerability Management, Cloud Security. - Systematic, analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex technical findings.
- Good communication skills, able to convey technical insights clearly and effectively.
- Strong collaboration skills in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
- Continuous learner with a passion for security and personal development.
- Fluency in English, both oral and written.
- Hands‑on knowledge of Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) technologies.
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CSSLP, ISO 27001 is a plus.
