At our production site in Westerlo, we develop and produce beneficial organisms that support growers worldwide in achieving natural and sustainable cultivation. A key part of this is the production of bumblebees, which play a vital role in crop pollination and contribute to higher yields and improved quality without the use of chemical aids.

Bumblebee production is a complex and innovative process where biological expertise, precision and continuous improvement are essential. It involves setting up and monitoring colonies, ensuring optimal living and environmental conditions, and carefully preparing bumblebees for global distribution. This requires streamlined processes and close collaboration between production, research, quality and logistics, with a constant focus on efficiency, quality and process optimisation.

.

As an Operations Process Improvement Analyst – Bumblebees, you play a key role in improving and optimising our operational processes. Acting as a bridge between production and R&D, you translate insights into concrete improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, sustainability and safety.

• Facilitate collaboration between production and R&D by translating technical challenges and operational needs into research and innovation opportunities
• Collect, analyse and interpret production data to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities
• Design and implement improvement projects with a strong focus on safety, sustainability and efficiency
• Provide hands‑on support for complex issues and urgent challenges within production
• Plan, execute and coordinate improvement projects, inspiring teams and building engagement
• Measure, evaluate and refine results to ensure sustainable, long‑term improvements
• Present clear, visually supported reports and recommendations to management
• Actively contribute to an innovative, data‑driven culture of continuous improvement within Biobest

• You hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (preferably in life sciences) or have equivalent experience
• You have strong analytical skills and can translate complex data into practical improvement actions
• You see opportunities where others see challenges and bring creative ideas to life
• You connect people and disciplines, building bridges between different perspectives and interests
• You take initiative, work in a structured and goal‑oriented way, and are comfortable contributing hands‑on
• You communicate clearly and convincingly in both Dutch and English
