Are you an experienced Quality Engineer with a passion for precision technology? At Xeryon, a fast-growing high-tech scale-up in Leuven, you will take full ownership of supplier quality, drive 8D investigations, and lead our inspection teams. Join us and shape the quality standards behind the world's smallest micro-motors!

Who are we looking for?

As a Supplier Quality Engineer at Xeryon, you are the primary guardian of component quality and supplier performance across our high-tech operations. You bridge the gap between internal production requirements and external suppliers, ensuring every incoming component meets our exacting standards for micro-motor assembly. In this key role, you lead root-cause investigations, conduct process audits, and continuously elevate our quality frameworks.

You work closely with IQC, CMM, and production teams to validate new inspection methods and ensure full regulatory compliance. Your expertise ensures that our rapid scaling directly aligns with uncompromised quality excellence. You report to the Quality Manager.

In this role, your primary responsibilities include:

  • Supplier Non-Conformance & 8D: Lead structured problem-solving (8D investigations) and drive resolution for customer complaints linked to supplier causes.
  • Audits & Quality Agreements: Plan and execute supplier process audits and maintain Supplier Quality Agreements (SQA).
  • Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and support the Incoming Quality Control (IQC) and Coordinate Production and Measuring Machine (CMM) teams.
  • Metrology & Control Plans: Implement, validate, and document new inspection systems, control plans, product developments and calibration programs.
  • Compliance & Audits: Support ISO 9001 and customer audits while ensuring strict adherence to internal quality procedures.
Who are we?

Xeryon is a rapidly growing scale-up based in Leuven that develops and produces innovative motion control solutions for high-tech applications. Renowned for creating the world's smallest micro-motors, we are scaling production towards 100,000 units per year. You will thrive in a dynamic, supportive, and high-energy culture alongside passionate professionals and high-tech specialists dedicated to leading our global niche.

Who are you?

To be successful in this role, you possess the following soft skills:

  • Analytical & Structured Thinker: Essential for navigating complex root-cause analyses and driving 8D investigations efficiently.
  • Resilient & Quality-Driven: Crucial for maintaining uncompromised quality standards and pushing continuous process improvements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong Communicator & Collaborator: Needed to build effective, solution-oriented relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and international customers.
  • Solution-oriented: Proactive, accurate and eager to learn and improve processes.

In addition, you meet the following hard requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant quality engineering experience, preferably within an electronics or high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Solid working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 required; experience with AS9100, IATF 16949, or ISO 13485 is a plus).
  • Hands-on experience with quality tools:
Root Cause Analysis (RCA), FMEA, DOE, Lean, or Six Sigma.
  • Familiarity with mechanical/electronic measurement systems and Test Method Validation / Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
  • Excellent professional English communication and technical writing skills.
What do we offer?

We offer a high-impact position at the direct seat of innovation, where your work shapes groundbreaking precision technology.

  • A competitive salary and benefits package aligned with your experience level.
  • A dynamic work environment within a booming high-tech scale-up in Leuven.
  • Direct ownership in defining and improving quality standards for world-leading technology.
  • A full-time position with opportunities for long-term professional growth in a supportive team.
