Position OverviewThis role manages a diverse book of commercial clients, ensuring their insurance needs are met and fostering long‑term relationships through responsiveness and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a diverse book of commercial clients, including contractors, tech firms, ag operations, retail businesses, and local nonprofits.
- Handle renewals, endorsements, certificates of insurance, audits, and policy changes with accuracy and care.
- Serve as the trusted point of contact for clients, building long‑term relationships through responsiveness and professionalism.
- Work closely with producers and underwriters to prepare proposals, negotiate terms, and bind coverages.
- Maintain up-to-date records in our agency management system (we use Applied Epic).
- 3+ years of experience in commercial lines account management preferred.
- Active Montana Property & Casualty license (preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of commercial insurance products and markets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational habits.
- Familiarity with Applied Epic or similar agency management software.
- A team mindset and a positive, community‑focused attitude.
- Experience or willingness to obtain an insurance license.
