CEO​/General Manager

Rocky Mountain Supply is a diversified cooperative serving agricultural producers, construction businesses, and rural communities through energy, agricultural supplies, agronomy inputs, and retail operations. Their reputation is built on knowledgeable employees, dependable service, practical solutions, and personal relationships. They are seeking a Chief Executive Officer who combines strong business judgment with a collaborative leadership style and a commitment to serving their patrons.

Reporting to the board of directors, the CEO will lead the cooperative’s strategy, financial performance, operations, and leadership development. Success will require an approachable leader who listens carefully, makes sound decisions, and empowers managers while maintaining clear expectations.

• A record of improving business performance and delivering sustainable, profitable growth.
• Meaningful P&L responsibility and strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cash flow, debt management, and capital investment.
• Experience leading managers across multiple locations or business lines.
• Demonstrated success developing teams, retaining strong employees, and preparing future leaders.
• An agricultural background or substantial experience serving agricultural and rural markets.
• The ability to evaluate opportunities, build practical plans, and follow through on execution.
• A confident, humble, and collaborative leadership style.
• A commitment to living within a practical commuting distance of Belgrade and spending time throughout RMS’s operating footprint.

Cooperative leadership experience is strongly preferred, particularly an understanding of member ownership, patronage, and board governance. Experience in bulk fuels, propane, retail operations, or diversified agricultural supply businesses will also be valuable.
