Job Description

This role involves safely operating a Class A or Class B commercial vehicle to deliver building materials to customer locations and warehouse facilities. You ensure that all deliveries are accurate, secure, and completed on schedule while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service. You also support warehouse operations as needed and consistently follow all safety, DOT, and traffic regulations.

• Safely operate a Class A or Class B commercial vehicle to deliver building materials to customers and warehouse locations.

• Ensure all deliveries are accurate, secure, and completed within scheduled time frames.

• Inspect loads for order accuracy, weight compliance, and proper securement prior to transport.

• Load and unload building materials at customer locations and warehouse facilities.

• Maintain a professional, courteous, and customer-focused attitude during all interactions.

• Work closely with warehouse personnel, customers, and dispatch to coordinate and optimize delivery schedules.

• Follow all DOT regulations, company safety standards, and local traffic laws at all times.

• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety.

• Assist with warehouse and inventory activities as needed to support overall operations.

• Properly operate, care for, and perform basic maintenance checks on all assigned equipment.

• Lift and handle materials weighing up to 80 lbs as required by delivery and warehouse tasks.

• Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL).

• Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience.

• Proven ability to safely operate commercial vehicles in a variety of conditions.

• Experience loading and unloading materials, including manual handling of heavy items up to 80 lbs.

• Ability to inspect loads for accuracy, weight compliance, and securement.

• Strong understanding of and adherence to DOT regulations and local traffic laws.

• Clean driving record that meets company insurance requirements.

• Ability to pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen.

• Effective communication skills for coordinating with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers.

• Commitment to providing excellent customer service and representing the company professionally.

• Experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or yard environment.

• Familiarity with building materials and related products.

• Ability to work collaboratively with warehouse and dispatch teams to resolve delivery issues.

• Strong attention to detail when reviewing orders and verifying delivery accuracy.

• Basic mechanical aptitude to perform routine vehicle inspections and identify potential issues.

You primarily work on the road, driving to and from construction sites around southwest Montana and making deliveries to customer locations and warehouse facilities. The role involves frequent loading and unloading of building materials, including lifting items up to 80 lbs. You operate commercial vehicles and may use equipment such as forklifts in warehouse or yard settings. The environment can include outdoor work at construction sites in varying weather conditions, along with time spent in a warehouse where safety procedures and proper use of equipment are essential.

This is a Permanent position based out of Belgrade, MT.

The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $66000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
