The Storage System Administrator II role concentrates on the management of storage and backup infrastructure in a large enterprise. Ideal candidates must be strong in IBM storage and backup platforms, Global Mirroring, and fiber channel switch knowledge, including use of management software for all related technology. Storage System Administrator II is responsible for performance, capacity, availability, currency, and scalability of the storage and backup infrastructure.

They are also responsible for automation, alerting, and enabling pro-active monitoring of the environment, L3 troubleshooting for complex problems, implementation of changes.

Degrees / Work Experience / School Education

• Bachelor's Degree equivalent work experience (and) Six (6) Years Work Experience of related IT experience.
• Or High School Diploma GED (and) Ten (10) Years Work Experience related IT experience

Certificate One or more of the following required:

• IBM Certified Administrator - Tivoli Storage Manager, IBM Certified Specialist - Midrange Storage Technical Support v2/v3, IBM Certified Specialist Enterprise Storage Technical Support v2/v3 IBM.
• Preferred:
  Certified Specialist
  - Storewize V7000 Technical Solutions, IBM Certified Specialist - Storewize V7000 Implementation

• Three (3) Years Work Experience AIX Operating system experience
• Five (5) Years Work Experience with IBM storage and TSM server hardware - DS8, DS5, V7000; virtual, and physical server technologies, especially Power 7; AD/Windows server admin.
