Base pay range$40,000.00/hr - $45,000.00/hr
Job PurposeThe purpose of a Landscape Maintenance Supervisor is to lead and manage the maintenance team to ensure effective operation of facilities and equipment. This includes overseeing maintenance activities, scheduling, safety compliance, training staff, maintaining records, managing inventory, and coordinating with other departments.
Responsibilities- Supervise team according to company policies and laws, including training, planning, and problem resolution.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding promptly to client requests.
- Schedule work based on priorities, crew, equipment, and weather.
- Monitor project activities to ensure standards, deadlines, and schedules are met.
- Inspect completed work for quality and compliance across multiple accounts.
- Train staff in horticultural and maintenance tasks.
- Enforce safety and work standards.
- Assist staff as needed to meet deadlines.
- Order supplies and manage inventory.
- Coordinate with other supervisors and departments.
- Handle administrative duties such as leave and timesheets.
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture, Agricultural Studies, or related field, with at least 5 years of landscape management experience, including 2 years supervising crews and managing client accounts. Must be fluent in English. Additional qualifications include knowledge of plants, pests, and diseases; process development; valid driver’s license; and interpersonal skills. Spanish speaking is a plus.
Working ConditionsPrimarily outdoors, in various weather conditions, with exposure to hazards such as chemicals, equipment, and heights. Must be able to use related tools and drive vehicles as needed.
Physical RequirementsRegularly involves bending, lifting up to 75 pounds, climbing, and operating equipment. Must be able to drive light trucks.
