Position: Nurse Practitioner- Health Care for the Homeless

Working in collaboration with the attending physician, the nurse practitioner performs medical acts in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, # 301.152, Texas Occupations Code and Medical Practice Act, # 157.051–157.060.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current, valid license to practice nursing in the State of Texas.
  • Completion of an accrediting Nurse Practitioner program (Family, Geriatric or Pediatric).
  • Has Limited Prescriptive Authority.
  • Basic Life Support from a hospital-based American Heart Association (AHA) approved program.
  • Other certificates as required by unit/service.
Two years related Experience
