Heavy Equipment Operator; Onsite: Belle Fourche, SD

Heavy Equipment Operator under direct supervision, the Heavy Equipment Operator performs earthmoving duties on a daily basis.

• Pay Rate: $19.00 - $26.00/hour, depending on experience
• Assignment Length: 6-month contract with the high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
• Shift Details: 11 hours per day | Monday - Friday (some Saturdays)

• Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing PPE.
• Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Driver’s license is required.
• 2 years of experience operating Caterpillar 637 scrapers, D9 dozers and 140 patrol, in a mine setting, required or general experience operating Caterpillar D8 dozer and 980 loaders in stockpile setting.
• Must have working knowledge of overburden handling, ore and soil segregation.
  3 years scraper experience preferred.
• General knowledge of hydraulic principles.
• Basic understanding of earth moving.
• Ability to operate Heavy Equipment safely.
• Ability to take and understand direction.
