This position will primarily provide assistance with call coverage for both Surgery and Cath Lab. Provides indirect care in the surgical area under the supervision of an RN and/or physician. Assist surgeon during operative and invasive procedures. Ensures OR suite/Cath Lab is adequately prepared for procedures. Assists to monitor PAR level of all surgical instruments and supplies. Maintains requirements of hospital regulatory bodies, follows policies and procedures and participates in activities related to quality initiatives, performance improvement, and customer service.

• Graduate of an accredited school.
• Certification Certified Operating Room Technician (CORT) within six months of hire.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

• Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Additional languages preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Basic computer knowledge.
• Previous experience with Electronic Medical Record system preferred.
• Previous Meditech knowledge is preferred.
