Accounting & Financial Reporting Supervisor

Join the City of Belleville as an Accounting and Financial Reporting Supervisor and lead vital financial processes. This permanent, full-time role focuses on audit coordination and financial policy development.

As an integral member of the Finance Department, your reporting will be to the Manager of Finance/Deputy Treasurer. Your responsibilities will involve ensuring compliance with PSAS, preparing essential financial documents, and influencing strategic budgeting initiatives. Your leadership will support continuous improvement efforts across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee year-end audit preparations and compliance

• Direct month-end and financial reporting tasks

• Approve journal entries for accuracy

• Manage preparation of financial statements and FIR

• Provide training and support in financial systems

Requirements:

• CPA designation is mandatory

• At least five years of relevant accounting experience

• Three years in a supervisory role essential

• Excel proficiency for financial analysis

• Strong grasp of public sector financial practices
