Nanny

Position Summary

We’re a warm, respectful family in Belleville looking for a full-time nanny to care for our cheerful toddler daughter. She’ll be 18 months old at the start of the position and is expected to begin preschool in March 2027.

We’re looking for someone dependable, caring, and experienced or eager to learn —a great opportunity for someone early in their childcare career who enjoys spending time with young children and wants steady, supportive work.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday
• Guaranteed 40 paid hours/week
Pay: $18 – $22/hour (depending on experience)   vacation/stat pay

Schedule

• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 7:30 am – 5:00 pm (1-hour unpaid lunch covered by parent)

• Tuesday: 7:30 am – 5:30 pm (30-minute unpaid lunch covered by parent)

• Friday:
Usually ends early, depending on the week’s needs

You’ll have predictable hours with a guaranteed 40-hour work week, and we always give advance notice for any small changes (such as travel weeks or work commitments). All hours are paid at regular straight-time rates, even when a week runs slightly longer than 40 hours. We respect your time and plan schedules carefully.

About Our Family and Home

• We’re caring parents who value communication, consistency, and kindness.

• One parent works from home full-time on most days; you’ll have support nearby.

• Tuesdays are usually the only day both parents are away.

• Our daughter is cheerful, friendly, and loves interacting with people. She enjoys being read to and spending quiet time with toys or books.

• We have two small poodles who are friendly and non-aggressive but tend to bark when people arrive or move through the house.

• Our home is calm, organized, and smoke-free.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive care for our daughter: feeding, naps, diapering, playtime

• Plan age-appropriate games and learning activities

• Prepare simple, healthy meals and snacks for her

• Child-related and light household duties, including:

• Tidying play and meal areas

• Cleaning up after meals

• Washing the child’s laundry

• Occasional vacuuming or floor cleaning

• Keeping common areas tidy and organized

• Let the dogs outside and feed them (no walking required)

What We’re Looking For

• Experience with toddlers (formal or informal)

• CPR & First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)

• Vulnerable Sector Police Check (or willing to obtain)

• Non-smoker and comfortable around small dogs

• Reliable, communicative, and kind

• Respectful of routines yet flexible when plans shift
