You are an experienced Utility Construction Labourer with knowledge of underground utility or civil construction and maintenance.
Responsibilities- Complete regular vehicle maintenance checks and associated paperwork.
- Drive a cube van or 3-ton dump truck with trailer in tow.
- Keep crew vehicles consistently clean and organized.
- Work with crew members to perform the day’s tasks, such as excavating pits, using rod and rope to guide conduits, placing underground cables in conduits, assisting in directional bore operations, removing and replacing concrete and asphalt, and related activities.
- Operate a mini excavator and lift heavy items up to 50 lbs.
- Assist in restoring job sites back to their original state.
- Maintain a healthy and safe work environment for the crew, the public, the customer, and Ledcor.
- Experience working in underground utility construction, civil construction, or landscaping (asset).
- Capable of reading underground telecommunication plans and work maps.
- Experience operating and maintaining mini excavators, skid steers, and backhoes.
- Strong time‑management skills with the ability to attend to a broad range of activities.
- Technically adept with a strong ability to learn quickly, analyze information, and problem‑solve.
- Capable of writing clearly and succinctly for different forms of communication.
- Clean driver’s abstract.
Travel to various sites in the surrounding Belleville, ON area. Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
CompensationWage range: $25.84 – $34.44 per hour. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level, industry experience, and work location. Remote, site‑based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including travel and accommodation allowances.
