Eligibility: This posting is open to Teachers on the Occasional Teachers list currently employed by Algonquin & Lakeshore Catholic District School Board and external applicants. Preference will be granted in accordance with the Collective Agreement for OECTA to qualified occasional teachers.
Salary Range: The salary of a teacher shall be determined in accordance with Article 32 of the OECTA Collective Agreement according to QECO rating and years of experience. Effective September 1, 2025 teacher salaries will range from $56,288.00 to $ (based on a 1.0
FTE)

- Certificate of Qualification from the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT)
- Division Specific Qualifications
- Primary/Junior or Junior/Intermediate AND Drama, Music or Arts Qualifications.
- Oral and written English language proficiency is required

- Submission of Roman Catholic Pastoral Reference indicating you are a practicing Roman Catholic (current within 1 year) OR a Roman Catholic Baptismal Certificate and a Personal Letter of Faith

- Recent graduates – include University transcript & practice teaching reports (copies only)
As a condition of employment, the successful candidate must provide a Police Record Check (PRC) with vulnerable sector check (VSC) current within six months of date of hire.
NotesThis position is open to Occasional Teachers currently employed by Algonquin Lakeshore Catholic District School Board who have completed a minimum of one (1) LTO assignment that was a minimum of four (4) months in duration, and whose last evaluation resulted in a satisfactory rating. In addition to the applicants from the school board's occasional teacher roster, a school board may choose, as one of the applicants to be interviewed, a teacher employed as a permanent teacher elsewhere in the province who has applied to the posting.
Articles 17.6 and 17.7 of the Collective Agreement apply.
