Position: Aircraft Structures Technician (C-17)

Aircraft Structures Technician – CFB Trenton, ON

Position:
Aircraft Structures Technician, Boeing Canada Operations Ltd, Global Technical Operations, Field Operations. Reports to Maintenance Manager and works under the Lead Structure Technician. Supports Canada Operational & Intermediate Level Maintenance Augmentation Support Team (MAST) under the US Government C‑17 G3 Sustainment Contract.

Position Responsibilities
  • Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems and components in accordance with applicable Technical Orders and regulations.
  • Ensures timely repairs and maintenance activities to keep the customer aircraft in service within required standards and meet Boeing and Royal Canadian Air Force airworthiness requirements.
  • Meets individual training requirements for mandatory and non‑mandatory training.
  • Operates within a Safety Culture, First Times Quality, and FOD reporting, informing Lead/Maintenance Manager of any compliance risk or escapes during maintenance operations.
  • Works with Quality/Safety Teams to address occurrences and audit findings in a timely manner.
  • Performs within MAST and Squadron Maintenance as part of a cohesive team toward common goals.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
  • 3+ years as Aircraft Structures Technician / Aircraft Mechanic, maintenance release authority (MRA), or equivalent to RCAF Level

    A.
  • Knowledge of Royal Canadian Air Force operations and aircraft maintenance practices.
  • Proficiency with special tools/equipment required for assigned maintenance tasks and ability to interpret Technical Orders.
  • Licensed Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) with S rating or Military equivalent.
  • Legally able to work in Canada.
  • Willing and eligible to work on Canadian government and defense‑related programs with no restrictions.
  • Consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program assessment and readiness to handle US export‑controlled data.
  • Eligible for Secret Level II security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience)
  • 3+ years with Canadian Aviation Regulations and Aircraft Airworthiness Directives.
  • Canadian CC177 Globe master III Type Course via Air Educational and Training Command (AETC).
  • Department of Defense/Canadian Armed Forces Airworthiness Program experience.
  • Active Secret Level II security clearance.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and ability to learn in‑house systems.
  • Knowledge of Royal Canadian Air Force Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS) and current Automated Data Aircraft Management (ADAM) system.

Additional Information
  • Position is locally hired in Canada; benefits and pay are determined by Canada and not on Boeing US payroll.
  • Starting salary is CAD $95,000.00 – $ annually, based on qualifications and experience.
  • Requires ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Level II security clearance from the Canadian government.
  • Eligible to work on Canadian Government Federal Establishment (CFB Trenton) with no restrictions.
