Role starting Summer 2026 at our manufacturing plant in Belleville, Ontario.

As an ICA Engineering Manager, you will develop technical mastery in Intelligent Controls & Automation (ICA) and Industrial IT/OT integration within Procter & Gamble’s Product Supply organization.

You will design, implement and sustain automation, robotics, control and data systems on production and packing lines, contributing to the site’s digitization roadmap (data connectivity, visualization, analytics, smart automation). You will work with engineers and multi‑functional partners to deliver initiatives that improve Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Sustainability while supporting the site’s Integrated Work System (IWS) journey.

This is an early‑career leadership role; initially no direct reports but you will own systems and projects, influence others and build technical and leadership skills from day one.

Technical, Automation & Digitization Support

• Support design, implementation, commissioning of ICA systems: PLC/HMI/SCADA platforms (Rockwell Control Logix and/or other major platforms), Drives, servo systems, motion control.
• Robotics and basic machine vision applications.
• Industrial networks (Ether Net/IP, PROFINET, PROFIBUS, MODBUS, etc.).
• Support industrial IT/OT and digitization initiatives.
• Assist senior engineers in Front‑End Engineering Design, FAT/SAT, line start‑ups, ensuring ICA and data/IT/OT requirements are captured and delivered.
• Contribute to design and modification of automation panels and electrical/automation assemblies under guidance.

System Ownership, IT/OT & Operations

• Act as system owner for defined ICA and industrial data scope (e.g., a line, unit operation, or platform), ensuring reliable day‑to‑day operation of electrical, control, and automation systems.
• Maintain stable data flows from equipment (sensors, PLCs, robots) into site data platforms (historians, MES, dashboards).
• Ensure proper backups, version control, documentation for PLC/HMI/SCADA programs and configurations.
• Manage changes through Management of Change (MoC), cybersecurity, and site standards.
• Collaborate with local IT and/or OT specialists.
• Provide hands‑on troubleshooting support, working with E&I technicians, Operations, and occasionally IT partners to resolve automation, network, and data issues.

Safety, Quality, Cybersecurity & Stewardship

• Apply and respect P&G and local safety standards, including Electrical Safety and Lockout/Tagout.
• Support compliance with local electrical regulations and internal Stewardship and Cybersecurity policies.
• Contribute to OT cybersecurity practices in your scope (under guidance).
• Support ICA and data‑related input to change controls, quality investigations, and GMP actions, ensuring data integrity and traceability where required.

IWS, Continuous Improvement & Digital Tools

• Participate in one or more IWS pillars (e.g., Asset Management, Preventive Maintenance, Engineering & Technical, Health Safety & Environment), supporting implementation of standards, tools, and loss elimination actions.
• Use production systems data (historians, MES, OEE, PLC logs) to identify and quantify losses (downtime, quality events), build reports and dashboards (e.g., using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools), and support root cause analysis and prioritization of improvements.
