Temporary Speech‑Language Pathologist (Multiple Opportunities)
Location: Education Centre, Belleville ON
Salary: $88,014 – $93,592 annually
The Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board serves approximately 15,400 students of all levels across 38 schools spanning 31 elementary, 2 K‑12, 4 grades 7‑12, and 1 secondary. The Board is dedicated to supporting student achievement through a dedicated team of around 1,750 teaching and support staff.
Job OverviewReporting directly to the Board Lead Psychologist, the Speech‑Language Pathologist will consult with school staff, parents, and outside agencies regarding students with communication difficulties and develop programs to support them.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, recommend, support, and provide direct programming for students with communication delay or disorder; monitor progress to ensure ongoing appropriateness.
- Provide assessment, discuss results, устройства и produce written reports to support programming and intervention.
- Make recommendations to principals regarding school‑level approaches for speech and language needs.
- Master’s degree in Speech Language or equivalent, with registration in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).
- Minimum six (6) years of professional experience.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills with a client‑focused approach.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary setting; proven use of intervention strategies for youth with various communicative disorders.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Background check.
- First Nations, Metis, and Inuit peoples, and all other Indigenous peoples.
- Members of groups commonly experiencing discrimination due to race, ancestry, colour, religion, or place of origin.
- Persons with visible and/or invisible disabilities.
- Persons of marginalized sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions.
