Temporary Relief Custodian – Multiple Vacancies
Rate Of Pay- $22.25 – $26.19 per hour

Perform custodian duties as assigned by supervisor such as minor preventive maintenance, attending to the needs of permits and assisting the Lead Hand and co‑workers to maintain a high standard of cleanliness, sanitization and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Open/secure building and/or areas assigned during and at the end of shift as required.
- Attend to the needs of community groups using the school by giving directions and setting up equipment in accordance with permit specifications and the Lead Hand’s instructions.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, spray buff, burnish, pick up and take out garbage, dusting, and empty pencil sharpeners. Ensure recycling is taken to curbside/designated collection area as required.
- Maintain school grounds by picking up debris, cutting grass, raking leaves and weeding flower beds. Keep all access clean and areas safe by sweeping, shoveling and salting.
- Perform duties in accordance with the Board’s Custodial and Safety Manuals and the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Log any project work done in the cleaning schedule records.
- Minimum completion of a secondary school diploma, or equivalent.
- Minimum three (3) months of related experience.
- Must possess a valid driving license and have access to reliable transportation to various sites within the Board’s jurisdiction.
