Facilities Casual Labourer

Join the City of Belleville as a Casual Labourer in Facilities, maintaining buildings and performing repairs. This temporary full-time role requires physical labor, vehicle operation, and a hands-on approach to maintenance tasks.

This position, running approximately from October 2026 to June 2027, involves working closely with Facilities Supervisors. Key responsibilities include operating city vehicles, executing preventative maintenance, and ensuring cleanliness within buildings and outside areas. Candidates should be ready to tackle various building repairs while working independently or collaboratively in a team setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate city vehicles and machinery as needed

• Perform maintenance on buildings and structures

• Ensure cleanliness in lobbies, washrooms, and meeting areas

• Conduct drywall, plumbing, and electrical repairs

• Paint both interior and exterior walls as required

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Valid full class G Driver’s License

• Experience in building maintenance and repairs

• Ability to work in various conditions

• Clean criminal record with a Vulnerable Sector Check
