Fiberglass Finishing & Repair Technician

Azoria‑ Dolphin Fiberglass Pools, located in Trenton, is a leading Canadian manufacturer of high‑quality fiberglass swimming pools built with craftsmanship, precision, and pride. Our finishing team ensures that every pool leaving our facility meets the highest standards of appearance and durability.
Job Duties:- Perform repairs on finished pool shells including cracks, pinholes, chips, and cosmetic defects
- Sand, grind, fill, and smooth fiberglass surfaces to prepare for gelcoat touch‑ups
- Apply gelcoat to repaired areas and blend color to match existing finish
- Buff and polish repaired surfaces to achieve a high‑gloss, seamless look
- Inspect pool shells for finish quality and correct any defects prior to final approval
- Work closely with Quality Control and production leads to ensure finish standards are met
- Maintain organized tools, repair materials, and clean working areas following 5S practices
- Follow all safety guidelines, PPE requirements, and styrene‑control measures
- Support the finishing team in meeting daily production and quality deadlines
Qualifications:
- Experience in fiberglass repair, automotive bodywork, marine gelcoat/boat repair, or professional buffing & polishing
- Skilled in sanding, grinding, buffing, color matching, and defect correction
- Ability to produce high‑quality cosmetic finishes with attention to detail
- Comfortable working with resins, gelcoat, DA sanders, buffers, and hand tools
- Able to lift 50 lbs, work overhead, and stand for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently or within a team
- Willing to follow SOPs, safety protocols, and quality standards
- Training provided for advanced gelcoat repair and finishing techniques
- All PPE provided
- Full Time Day/afternoon shift 42.5 hours weekly
- Overtime may be required during high‑production periods
- Starting wage $18.00 – $19.00 hourly
