Maintenance Supervisor

Our client in the auto manufacturing space is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor on a fulltime/perm basis Leads and supervises skilled trades to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant and production equipment while driving uptime, quality, and continuous improvement.

Location:

Belleville - on site

• Supervise and support millwrights, electricians, welders, and apprentices across multiple shifts
• Ensure maximum equipment uptime through preventative maintenance, repairs, and proactive problem solving
• Enforce all safety policies, conduct incident investigations, and drive corrective actions
• Coordinate internal maintenance activities and external contractors for equipment and facility repairs
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and reliability best practices
• Track maintenance performance metrics and implement action plans to improve efficiency and quality
• Maintain maintenance records, timekeeping, and overtime requirements
• Provide technical support to cross-functional teams and Manufacturing Engineering
• Support new equipment reviews, vendor visits, and equipment standardization efforts
• Lead department meetings, employee performance reviews, and development activities

• Certified skilled tradesperson (Millwright or Industrial Electrician)
• 5–7 years of skilled trades experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong technical knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, automation, and plant services
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
• Exceptional safety record and strong safety-first mindset
• Experience supporting preventative maintenance and equipment reliability programs
• Ability to manage multiple shifts, overtime, and inter-plant support
• Strong troubleshooting, decision-making, and communication skills
• Automotive manufacturing experience considered an asset
• Willingness to complete supervisor or team leader competency training
