Production Worker

We are seeking individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment who have excellent communication skills, attention to detail and who are team oriented.

Permanent, Full-time

Starting $19.00 per hour with pay advancements available for motivated individuals that achieve our levels of accountability plus additional annual increases. Eligible for Group Benefits after probationary period.

• Ability to work on a steady paced production line conducting various tasks such as de-boning and/or trimming pork cuts to customer’s specifications;
• Ensure proper care of knives and other tools provided;
• Manually packaging pork cuts into various formats (bags, cartons, combos, or other containers);
• Loading product into packaging machinery;
• Inspect packaged products to ensure they meet final packaging requirements;
• Weighing product on scales and applying labels to cartons;
• Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping in your area and following good manufacturing practices, quality and safety procedures;
• Strives to meet Production yields/efficiencies standards;
• Promotes an open two-way communication and takes accountability of own work, with the goal of enabling a high performance team;
• Follows Canadian Blasts Freezers policies and procedures, health and safety policies and HACCP standards;
• Promotes a respectful workplace, one that is healthy, safe, supportive and values diversity;
• Take Line/Unit Leader feedback on issues and opportunities to improve production process.

• Must be a team player.
• Willing to assist in a variety of work tasks.
• Responsible for attendance, and absenteeism.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Ability to work in cold environment (4C) and stand for long periods during shift time.
• Comfortable working in a steady-paced environment.
• Comfortable working with meat.
• Must wear provided PPE and follow GMP policy (no jewelry or piercing jewelry/fake nails/etc. on production floor).

• Clean criminal record (willing to obtain record check) (required).
• Secondary School (required).
