Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Production Supervisor to join a growing manufacturing team. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, driving safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement across multiple production lines. The successful candidate will provide hands‑on leadership, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure manufacturing targets are achieved while maintaining high operational standards.

As the senior management representative on-site during afternoon and night shifts, the Production Supervisor will make critical operational decisions, resolve production issues, and foster a high-performance culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and results.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise production employees across multiple manufacturing lines.

  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and high-performing work environment.

  • Train, coach, mentor, and develop team members to maximize performance and engagement.

  • Plan and coordinate production activities to meet customer requirements, quality standards, and delivery schedules.

  • Establish production priorities and ensure efficient workflow throughout operations.

  • Optimize the use of labor, equipment, materials, and resources to maximize productivity.

  • Monitor and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

  • Act as the primary point of contact for production, quality, and operational efficiency concerns.

  • Analyze production schedules, work orders, and inventory requirements to support operational goals.

  • Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to verify performance and ensure optimal utilization.

  • Ensure products meet specifications and quality requirements through inspections and process monitoring.

  • Coordinate machine setups, adjustments, and troubleshooting activities as required.

  • Track employee attendance, working hours, and productivity metrics.

  • Address performance concerns through coaching, corrective actions, and employee development plans.

  • Collaborate with maintenance, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to achieve production objectives.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost reduction, and operational excellence.

  • Prepare and communicate production reports, KPIs, and shift updates to management.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.

  • Experience leading teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

  • Solid understanding of production planning, scheduling, and workflow management.

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and OEE metrics.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Experience in managing employee relations, attendance, and performance.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing reporting systems.

  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during off-shift operations.

  • Post-secondary education in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.

  • Experience with ISO, GMP, HACCP, or other manufacturing quality systems.

  • Lean Six Sigma certification is considered an asset.

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
