This pivotal role involves overseeing the Indigenous Research Circle and developing best practices for research that respects Indigenous knowledge systems. Collaborating with the Executive Director and various stakeholders, you will ensure ethical standards and culturally responsive methods are prioritized in research initiatives. Your contributions will support community-driven goals and foster deeper partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and support the Indigenous Research Circle's activities
• Design and implement best practices for Indigenous research
• Coordinate meetings and ensure project milestones are achieved
• Build and maintain partnerships with Indigenous communities
• Work with the Research Ethics Board to enhance ethical review
Requirements:
• Minimum 4-year degree in a relevant discipline
• Completion of OCAP and TCPS 2 Core 2022 Training
• At least one year of experience in research
• Strong time management and communication skills
• Identifying as Indigenous is a requirement
Lead the way in promoting culturally grounded and community-informed research practices at Loyalist College.
