Location: Brighton
Support the deafblind community as a Part Time Intervenor with Sensity in Brighton, Ontario.
Your role will focus on enhancing communication and assisting with daily living activities to foster independence.
As a key member of our team, you'll provide valuable support to individuals facing dual sensory impairments. This part-time position includes various shifts, offering you the chance to develop your skills while positively impacting clients' lives. Level up your career while promoting empowerment and dignity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist individuals in both home and public settings
• Utilize effective communication techniques
• Empower clients to achieve daily living tasks
• Provide necessary personal care and support
• Document and track client progress accurately
Requirements:
• Diploma in related human services program
• Experience with developmental disabilities or mental health
• Knowledge of ASL or SEE is beneficial
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift 35-50 lbs occasionally
