Responsibilities
  • Align manufacturing operations to meet or exceed site, regional and global business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain an effective organization through selection, training, development, compensation and motivation of the Operations team.
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture to optimise productivity and capacity, executing improvement initiatives and selecting and completing projects.
  • Communicate with all individuals or teams to ensure all employees understand company direction, goals and activities required to achieve objectives.
  • Promote and foster a culture that results in a safe working environment.
  • Develop and lead associates through active coaching and target‑setting while cultivating a high‑performing team culture that is empowered, engaged and results‑driven.
  • Develop capacity plans to meet short‑term production schedules and support long‑term forecasted growth.
  • Monitor metrics and ensure control plans, corrective actions and root‑cause tools are used to drive improved performance.
  • Exceed customer expectations in quality, cost, delivery, service and project launches while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
  • Accountable for compliance of manufacturing operations within the site; SOPs, FDA regulations, ISO standards, GMP, OSHA, etc.
  • Develop, allocate and work within an established budget, managing activities to control spend and maximise profits.
  • Provide analysis and input in development of business plans to achieve best‑in‑class operations including investment requests (Cap Ex) and return on investment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering discipline and/or training, or an equivalent combination; master’s degree in business preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with proven application of Lean manufacturing tools.
  • Successful track record of planning, executing and achieving strategic growth plans.
  • Experience in a regulated environment, with a strong quality mindset.
  • Experience leading positive cultural change, organisational effectiveness and creating a high‑performing culture.
  • Medical device industry experience a plus.
  • Strong background in continuous improvement with heavy focus on process improvement.
  • Other qualifications or experiences.
