Role Overview

We are seeking a Cardiology Medical Director to lead our team at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois. The role involves leadership of clinical operations and ensuring highest standards of patient care.

• Manage the medical care of patient panel, providing or arranging inpatient hospital care and coordinating with hospitalists or other physicians.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and care team to achieve excellent patient care outcomes at clinic and outreach locations.
• Perform and document medical histories and physicals in the patient’s medical record per hospital bylaws.
• Arrange call coverage for clinic patients and inpatient patients in accordance with BJC policies and legal/ethical standards.
• Collaborate and train advanced practice providers, support staff, or other team members assigned to the patient panel.
• Maintain constant alertness and safety as a safety‑sensitive position.

• Doctorate in Medicine.
• Board eligible or board certified and licensed physician.
• Less than 2 years of experience.
• No supervisor experience required.

• 2 to 5 years of experience.
• Experience in cardiology practice, inpatient and outpatient settings.
