Psychiatry - Forensic Physician

Administers all medical, psychiatric, nursing, social service, and psychological treatment provided to both forensic and civil recipients on all units of the Center.

Develops policies and procedures for all program areas in accordance with departmental policies, mental health code, and various accreditation and certification bodies.

Directs the implementation of services.

Administrative call responsibilities via phone.

Assign and reviews work.

Provides guidance and training to assigned staff.

Counsels staff regarding work performance.

Reassigns staff to meet day-to-day operating needs.

Establishes annual goals and objectives.

Adjusts first level grievances.

Effectively recommends and imposes discipline, up to and Including discharge.

Prepares and signs performance evaluations.

Determines and recommends staffing needs.

Serves as manager of medical program operations.
