Join Stange Law Firm, PC as a Full‑Time Paralegal/Legal Assistant/Legal Secretary in Belleville, IL. The firm specializes in Family Law, including divorce, legal separation, paternity action and estate planning.

  • Responsibilities
    • Act as a front‑desk receptionist: greet clients, take messages and return calls, accept deliveries and handle faxes.
    • Prepare and draft legal documents for filing with appropriate entities; ensure accuracy of all documents.
    • Conduct legal research as assigned (law libraries, public records, periodicals).
    • Maintain organized files, pleadings, calendars and manage mailings.
    • Enter billable hours into time‑keeping software each day.
    • Perform other reasonable tasks requested by firm management.
    Qualifications
    • Previous law‑firm or domestic legal experience preferred.
    • Familiarity with PC programs and strong computer skills.
    • Excellent written and oral communication.
    • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
    • For senior paralegal/assistant roles, prior family law or litigation experience is preferred.
