Job Title:

OB / Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for a mixed patient population with approximately 20% OB and 80% Medical-Surgical patients

• Independently manage Labor & Delivery patients from admission through delivery and post-delivery care

• Serve as the primary nurse responsible for OB patients, including OB surgical cases

• Coordinate care during deliveries with support from non-OB-trained assisting staff

• Deliver comprehensive medical-surgical nursing care, including assessments, medication administration, and patient monitoring

• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to hospital policies and patient safety standards

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license

• Strong experience in both OB/L&D and Medical-Surgical nursing

• Ability to independently manage OB patients from start to finish, including OB surgeries

• Comfortable functioning as the primary and accountable L&D nurse
Current Certifications

• BLS

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in combined OB / Med-Surg or critical access hospital settings

• Travel nursing experience
