Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Pre Procedure Phase II

Status: Full-time

Shift: Days, starting at 5:30 AM

Located on the ground floor of our main hospital, the ASU features a 28-bed surgery prep unit and a 32-bed outpatient unit dedicated to pre and postoperative care for both pediatric and adult patients. You’ll be at the heart of a collaborative environment, working closely with our Operating Room (OR) and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) teams.

Under the guidance of the ASU Nurse Manager, you will:

• Conduct thorough assessments with patients prior to admission, either via phone or in person.
• Gather and review patients' medical histories from previous records.
• Collaborate closely with the anesthesia department to meet patient needs.
• Provide direct patient care activities for all age groups.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in line with established policies and standards.
• Uphold our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards in all duties.

Required:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Licensure: Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of RN experience.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association.
• Skills: Strong clinical skills, effective communication, and teamwork abilities.

Preferred:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Certifications: ACLS, PALS, and NRP (as applicable).
• Experience: At least 1 year of RN experience.
