New Graduate Nurse

Role Overview

The Graduate Nurse provides direct patient care activities, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, within nursing standards after completing a nursing program and before obtaining licensure. They must secure licensure within 90 days of graduation to maintain employment eligibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families on managing illnesses, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Utilize critical thinking to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional patient needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members, promoting patient-centered care.
• Evaluate patient responses and adjust care plans accordingly throughout their stay.
• Participate in activities supporting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, along with ongoing professional development.
• Work in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining constant alertness and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum:
  Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree in Nursing.
• Preferred:
  Additional qualifications or experience as specified.
