Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular​/CVOR

American Traveler is hiring a CVOR RN for an Acute Care Hospital requiring 2+ years of CVOR experience and the ability to independently scrub and circulate cardiac procedures.

• Active IL RN license required
• BLS required, ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• CVOR experience required with ability to independently scrub and circulate
• General OR and/or Hybrid OR experience preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Experience in endovascular/hybrid, neuro-spine, ENT, ortho, or robotic specialties is a plus

• Acute Care Magnet hospital setting within the CVOR department
• Primary assignment is Open Heart Surgery with possible float to alternative service lines including Urology/GYN/Dental/Robotic/Plastics/ENT, General/Vascular/Thoracic/Pulmonary, and Orthopedic/Pain/Podiatry
• Shift is 4x10 Days from , with shift times adjusting to accommodate the OR Open-Heart schedule
• No weekend or holiday shifts required except for call
• Call required for weeknights (end of shift to 0630) and weekends  Saturday/Sunday), self-scheduled within a small Open-Heart team
• Float required within service line and scope, including between primary campus and a secondary campus
• EPIC charting system required
• 40 hours guaranteed per week
• Responsibilities include first scrubbing (independently) Cardiac/Open Heart procedures and functioning in a circulator role as needed
• Hospital-issued royal blue OR scrubs required
• First-time travelers are accepted for this role
• Local candidates within a 75-mile radius are not accepted
• RTO limited to 7 days within the 13-week contract, with no RTO allowed during the first week of assignment
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to the facility as a traveler
• Standard travelers may stay for an 18-month period before requiring a 3-month break in service
• Facial hair must allow for proper respirator fit testing or will need to be shaved
