The Shift Leader supervises shifts and/or work areas in the operation of a Papa John’s restaurant to ensure high‑quality products and customer service are delivered, promoting restaurant profitability. Other responsibilities include managing operations, executing all Company policies, procedures, programs and systems, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, local laws and ethical business practices.
Duties and Responsibilities- Adheres to guidelines, techniques and expectations for each station, including dough management, accuracy, proper portioning, product preparation and established product holding times.
- Consistently contributes to achieving the Company’s product goal by meeting customer needs, minimizing complaints and responding appropriately. Follows all policies and procedures as outlined in the TM handbook.
- Exemplifies Core Values, maintains a positive attitude, works well with others and remains flexible and adaptable to change.
- Ensures adequate shift coverage, provides immediate feedback, corrects problems when identified and maintains product quality, customer service, and performance standards (MCE readiness, food/labor costs, restaurant cleanliness, etc.).
- Contributes to profit goals by staying within company guidelines, accurately using the FOCUS System, executing cash management duties and assisting in inventory management to minimize loss.
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Serv‑Safe / Local or State Food Service Certification preferred.
- Previous restaurant shift lead experience preferred.
- Successful and stable employment history.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to work long hours (32+ hours generally required), scheduled or unscheduled, including nights, weekends, and emergencies.
