GENERAL JOB DUTIES FOR ALL STORE TEAM MEMBERS- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility daily.
Orientation and training are provided on the job.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS- Understand and provide written instructions accurately.
- Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
- Perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) accurately and quickly.
- Make correct monetary change.
- Use verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Coordinate eye–hand movements quickly for precise tasks.
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Use navigation skills to read maps and locate addresses within the delivery area.
- Navigate adverse terrain, multi‑story buildings, and private homes while carrying product.
- Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks.
- In‑store temperatures ranging from 36°F in the cooler to 90°F or above in some work areas.
- Sudden changes in temperature, fumes from food odors, and exposure to cornmeal dust.
- Cramped quarters, including walk‑in cooler.
- Hot surfaces/tools from ovens up to 500°F or higher.
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
- Adverse conditions when delivering product, driving, and couponing.
- Telephone talk and hearing; near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks.
- Depth perception.
- Distinguish between hot and cold surfaces.
- Night vision for driving.
The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, manage stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS- Standing: Most tasks performed from a standing position; work surfaces 36"–48" high.
- Walking: Short distances for short durations; delivery personnel travel between store and vehicle.
