Job Description
Full time position for a Mechanical Designer to generate and update 3D Autodesk Inventor models for product, tools, and fixture components and assemblies. Generate and update detailed dimensioned drawings for components and assemblies. Generate & update bills of materials.
Responsibilities- Develop design concepts and prepare documents for custom designs. Corrects and updates design documents as needed.
- Uses computer aided design technologies to develop sketches, drawings and assembly documents.
- Reviews drawings and documents to assure compliance with company design and production standards.
- Ability to read/interpret assembly and product specification drawings.
- Create sheet metal fabrication drawings to comply with standards.
- Generate assembly drawings for production and customer documentation.
- Generate Bill of Materials for data entry and prepare Engineering Change Orders as necessary.
- Highly motivated, self-starter.
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
- Sheet metal experience a plus.
VAC-U-MAX specializes in design and manufacture of pneumatic systems and support equipment for conveying, weighing and batching of dry materials. The primary technology for conveying is vacuum, but positive pressure pneumatic systems as well as mechanical conveyors are used as applications dictate. An equally important activity is design and manufacture of heavy duty industrial vacuum cleaners, ranging from small air and electric powered drum styled units to large electric and diesel powered units.
