Twin Towing is seeking a seasoned Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team, focusing on maintaining our diverse fleet—including light and heavy‑duty tow trucks, tractors, trailers, and various other types of heavy equipment. This is a full‑time opportunity for a hands‑on professional who takes pride in their workmanship and possesses a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventative maintenance (PM) work and keep accurate records of routine maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
- Conduct diagnostics, identify malfunctions, and undertake necessary repairs with precision.
- Efficiently replace and repair truck and trailer lighting systems and wiring, ensuring safety and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Welding and fabrication tasks as needed to repair or modify equipment.
- Utilize understanding of computer diagnostics to interpret and address error codes and system alerts.
- Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team to efficiently complete tasks.
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, with a comprehensive understanding of both light and heavy‑duty vehicles and heavy equipment.
- Must possess a personal set of tools suitable for a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks.
- Proficiency in welding and fabrication, with a knack for precision and safety.
- Strong competency in using diagnostic software and interpreting computer‑generated error codes.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and lift objects as required by the job.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication abilities, capable of working as part of a team and independently.
