Northrop Grumman Defense Systems currently has an opening for a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer. This position may be in Roy, UT, Colorado Springs, CO, Bellevue, NE or Huntsville, AL and will support the Sentinel program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

What you will get to do:
The selected Sr. Principal (Level
4) Systems Engineer will be supporting activities including use case development, requirements definition / allocation, functional decomposition, interface definition, verification & validation, and requirements traceability. Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
* Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop supporting systems engineering and design artifacts.

* Work with both technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature architecture content of large programs design.

* Help develop and incorporate the appropriate requirements for the system and ensure that they are properly represented in the model.

* Develop systems architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture (behavioral, structural, analytical).

* Contribute to system requirements development, management, and analysis.

* Sr. Principal Systems Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) with 8 years of experience; 6 years of experience with a Masters' degree; or 4 years of experience with a PhD
* Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years.

* Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs

* 2+ years of experience with requirements management/analysis/allocations
* 2+ years of experience with Model-Based Engineering / Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBE/MBSE) practices, languages and/or tools such as Cameo, Rhapsody or MagicDRAW
* 2+ years of experience with one or more of the following:
Command & Control (C2), physical security, cybersecurity, Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) systems/processes, communications systems, facility design, military aerospace development (e.g. Sentinel, Minute Man III, B-2, B-21 delivery systems)

Preferred Qualifications:

* 1+ years of experience developing or reviewing requirements within DOORS or similar tool

* 1+ year experience in ICBM (MMIII or Sentinel) OR complex aerospace/defense systems

* 1+ year experience in team environments with leadership responsibilities

* 1+ year experience creating, updating, and maintaining system performance documentation
