Tax Manager — Public Accounting

We’re partnering with a well-established and growing CPA firm seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join their team. This firm offers a collaborative environment, strong community reputation, and a clear path for professional growth and advancement.

As a Tax Manager, you’ll oversee tax compliance and planning for a diverse portfolio of clients, mentor staff, and play a key role in maintaining client relationships and driving firm success.

• Manage and review complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.

• Provide proactive tax planning and strategic consulting to clients across various industries.

• Supervise, train, and mentor staff accountants to support their professional development.

• Review client work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulations.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor.

• Assist in firm management and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or MBA a plus).

• CPA license strongly preferred (or in final stages of completion).

• Minimum 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax compliance and consulting.

• Proven leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate staff.

• Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.

• Competitive base salary: $75K — $150K (depending on experience)
