Program Analyst

Help address complex challenges in strategic deterrence and shape next-generation capabilities across global strike, nuclear command and control (NC3), space, and cyberspace.

The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Program Analyst (NH-0343-03) to work at USSTRATCOM/J84 at Offutt Air Force Base, Located in Bellevue, Nebraska.

In this position you will analyze, evaluate issues, develop recommendations, and determine necessary policies, regulations, directives, doctrine, and procedures in support of major command program(s) and to resolve substantive problems and issues.

This is a Direct Hiring Authority (DHA) position.

Salary Range is $76,463 - $118,204 Annually (without locality pay) based on experience.

• This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions present a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. It is required that you (a) refrain from the use of illegal drugs and (b) if requested, submit to urinalysis testing.

• Knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to participate in the assessment and improvement of command level plans and programs for conducting major operations such as advocating future concepts; mission capability needs; PPBE; JCIDS; acquisition; special operations, Program review, and System Requirements Review.
• Knowledge of program goals and objectives; the sequence and timing of key operational events and milestones; methods of evaluating the effectiveness of planning actions related to actual events; and the relationship of the various command entities involved in overall program planning and execution of military operations and evaluations.
• Knowledge of the application of program expertise to expertly plan, analyze, and evaluate the effectiveness of assigned mission areas sufficient to determine the impact on program operations.
