Medical Science Liaison (MSL) specializing in Obesity, serving as a scientific/clinical resource to healthcare providers, opinion leaders, and population health decision makers in IA, NE, and SD. Objectives include advancing scientific understanding of Amgen's obesity pipeline, supporting clinical research, and facilitating peer-to-peer engagement to improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:Conduct peer discussions with healthcare professionals, support clinical investigators and research sites, communicate clinical and economic data, support and lead scientific congress activities, assist in speaker training, and collaborate on strategic projects. Maintain compliance and administrative tasks such as CRM updates and training. Build relationships and provide insights to internal teams.
Qualifications:Doctorate degree (Ph.D., MD, DO, Pharm.D.) or Master’s degree with 3+ years of Medical Affairs experience; or Bachelor's with 5+ years in Medical Affairs. Preferred experience includes 1+ years in biotech/pharma Medical Affairs, cardiometabolic or obesity expertise, and clinical or research background.
High-Value:Focus on obesity, cardiometabolic health, clinical research support, and scientific exchange within the U.S. territory (IA, NE, SD). Experience with designated territory management, congress activities, speaker training, and compliance standards is advantageous.
Work Setup:Field-based role with travel within the territory; reporting to an Obesity MSL Field Director.
