Position Title: Journeyman Intelligence Analyst
Location: Offutt Air Force Base, Omaha, NE
Clearance Requirement: Active Top Secret/SCI with NC2/ESI eligibility
The Journeyman Intelligence Analyst will provide multi-discipline, all-source intelligence analysis in support of the U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) Joint Intelligence Operations Center (JIOC). This role directly supports strategic deterrence, nuclear command and control (NC3), global strike, missile defense, and electronic warfare missions. The analyst will deliver timely, accurate, and relevant intelligence products to inform planning, operations, and senior leadership decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct near-, mid-, and long‑term all‑source analysis supporting Indications and Warning (I&W), situational awareness, and operational planning.
- Author and contribute to Joint Intelligence Preparation of the Operational Environment (JIPOE) products and intelligence assessments at the regional and global levels.
- Research, integrate, and evaluate complex datasets to support strategic deterrence and adversary capability assessments.
- Support the development and validation of intelligence collection requirements and provide feedback to IC reporting.
- Produce written intelligence studies, papers, and briefings in accordance with USSTRATCOM, DIA, and DNI tradecraft standards.
- Provide analysis supporting Target Systems Analysis (TSA) and target folder development for nuclear, kinetic, and non‑kinetic operations.
- Maintain and leverage government‑furnished databases, tools, and visualization platforms for strategic intelligence analysis.
- Participate in exercises, wargames, training events, and crisis response operations in support of USSTRATCOM missions.
- Collaborate with USSTRATCOM staff, component commands, and Intelligence Community (IC) partners to ensure accurate, integrated assessments.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in all‑source intelligence analysis supporting DoD or IC missions.
- Proven ability to:
- Provide situational awareness of adversary threat capabilities.
- Author intelligence products supporting operational and strategic planning.
- Contribute to JIPOE development and execution.
- Experience supporting the development of DoD planning documents and providing input to collection requirements.
- Familiarity with adversary military capabilities, doctrine, and regional threats aligned with peer and near‑peer competitors.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with experience briefing senior leaders.
- Proficiency with analytic tools and databases (e.g., MIDB, Palantir, Analyst Notebook, COLISEUM, SharePoint, TMT, e‑Task).
- Experience supporting red team analysis, adversary decision‑making assessments, and escalation thresholds.
- Knowledge of strategic deterrence, nuclear forces, or missile defense mission sets.
- Bachelor's degree in Intelligence, International Relations, Security Studies, or related field.
- Prior military or DoD intelligence experience at a Combatant Command or Service‑level headquarters.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in:
- JIPOE or strategic‑level analysis
- Authoring regional/global intelligence products
- Target Systems Analysis
- Intelligence collection requirements
- Database/software tools for strategic analysis
- Experience at other Combatant Commands or national intelligence centers is acceptable
- CI polygraph
- Experience with STRATCOM mission areas
- Familiarity with IC tools (Palantir, MIDB, CHROME, etc.)
