IT Operations Technician

Overview

IT Operations Technician s position is based on our campus in Madison, WI and requires relocation to the area. We recruit nationally and provide financial relocation assistance.

As an IT Operations Technician with Epic Hosting, you will monitor the hosting infrastructure stack and respond swiftly to problems. You will use investigative and troubleshooting skills across a variety of tools to identify and resolve routine and complex issues in networking, hardware, virtualization, and related areas. You will communicate issues, coordinate with contacts from healthcare organizations, and perform system builds.

• Monitor the hosting infrastructure stack and respond to problems in a timely manner
• Investigate and troubleshoot network, hardware, virtualization, and related issues using a variety of tools
• Communicate issues and impact to stakeholders and coordinate with contacts from healthcare organizations
• Perform system builds and participate in ongoing operational improvements

• Relocation to the Madison, WI area (reimbursed)
• A history of academic and professional success
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, initiative, and leadership abilities
• Available to work second or third shift hours
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• COVID-19 vaccination

• Knowledge of Internet networking protocols and tools (e.g., TCP/IP, ping, trace route)
• Knowledge of Linux distributions (Ubuntu, Red Hat, or CentOS)
• Certifications such as CompTIA+, CCNA, Network+, or Linux+
• Knowledge of VMware
