General Purpose

The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate greets all customers, follows company best practices, maintains a clean work area, and ensures proper merchandise presentation. The Associate may be requested to perform additional tasks as needed.

Essential Functions
  • Safety is the number one priority; practice safe behaviors.
  • Maintain awareness of the sales floor and secure the environment; report unsafe conditions.
  • Treat all customers and Associates with respect and courtesy.
  • Assist customers, provide knowledge, and handle transactions efficiently.
  • Respond promptly to customer service calls.
  • Represent and support the company brand at all times.
  • Perform cleaning tasks and maintain store cleanliness.
  • Adhere to the company’s dress code and professional appearance.
  • Perform daily assigned sizing and recovery to keep the store organized.
  • Expedite merchandise receipts and merchandize per monthly presentation guidelines.
  • Understand Loss Prevention Awareness program and other protection standards.
  • Safeguard confidential information, cash, and merchandise.
  • Follow all cash, charge, and refund procedures accurately.
  • Demonstrate an urgent sense of work efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications And Special Skills Required
  • Effective communication with customers, associates, and leadership in a friendly manner.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations in a retail environment.
Physical Requirements / ADA
  • Use store equipment including PDTs, registers, and PC.
  • Spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the store.
  • Regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
  • Occasionally push, pull and lift more than 25 pounds; for stockroom shifts more than 20 pounds.
  • Use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other supplies.
