General PurposeThe Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate greets all customers, follows company best practices, maintains a clean work area, and ensures proper merchandise presentation. The Associate may be requested to perform additional tasks as needed.
Essential Functions- Safety is the number one priority; practice safe behaviors.
- Maintain awareness of the sales floor and secure the environment; report unsafe conditions.
- Treat all customers and Associates with respect and courtesy.
- Assist customers, provide knowledge, and handle transactions efficiently.
- Respond promptly to customer service calls.
- Represent and support the company brand at all times.
- Perform cleaning tasks and maintain store cleanliness.
- Adhere to the company’s dress code and professional appearance.
- Perform daily assigned sizing and recovery to keep the store organized.
- Expedite merchandise receipts and merchandize per monthly presentation guidelines.
- Understand Loss Prevention Awareness program and other protection standards.
- Safeguard confidential information, cash, and merchandise.
- Follow all cash, charge, and refund procedures accurately.
- Demonstrate an urgent sense of work efficiency and productivity.

- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations in a retail environment.
- Use store equipment including PDTs, registers, and PC.
- Spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the store.
- Regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
- Occasionally push, pull and lift more than 25 pounds; for stockroom shifts more than 20 pounds.
- Use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other supplies.
