We are looking for skilled mechanics that want to be part of an energetic team. We are looking for an individual with strong knowledge and experience working on Tractors and Trailers.
Truck/Trailer Mechanic is responsible for maintaining equipment operations by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements, correcting vehicle deficiencies, and adjustments. Completes all job duties while following all workplace safety rules.
Responsibilities:
- Remove and replace brakes, brake drums, hubs, seals, bearings, and associated parts.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
- Maintains a clean, safe work area.
- Ability to work the assigned schedule.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience:
- Comprehensive knowledge of all systems pertaining to tractor/trailer operations preferred.
- Familiarity with diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues.
- Must be proficient in use of a computer and ability to learn usage of a program
- Knowledge of equipment and tools, including uses, repair, and maintenance.
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- 2-3 years' experience.
Physical Demands:
Must have the ability to:
Move about the company and interact with all departments. Physical requirements include but are not limited to the following: sitting, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, climbing up and down a ladder, Ability to work outside, and occasionally carrying at least 75 pounds.
